HONOR YOUR COMMITMENTS

In my last post, I talked about the importance of honoring you role to yourself. I said that the most important human being on this earth should be you, not so that you can be selfish, but that your role as your champion should lead you to pursuing the best of life, so that you can be and give your best to those you love and who depend on you.

Today I want to talk about honoring you commitments, not only to yourself but to others. When we accept who we are and what we are here for, it is no secret that we enter into commitments with people, with our jobs, home leases, cars, friendships, marriages, and many other forms of commitments. However, how much practice do we have with keeping our commitments?

Truth is, a lot of us fail at commitments, not because we are bad people or not trustworthy, it is hard to do your best every day and succeed at it every single time. So, we get hard on ourselves, we feel dejected and sometimes we are afraid to try again, to make it right. What we forget is that the people we disappoint, or the people we think will not forgive our wrongs, are just as human as we are. We often let ego get in the way, and we reject ourselves even before we are rejected.

Make your commitments and keep them. Be the best colleague you can be, try to be the best partner, parent, child, friend. Know that dropping the ball is part of life, but know and have the humility to ask for a second chance to make things right. People are not as hard-hearted as we think. We make them that way when we behave in a manner that makes them feel they need to protect themselves from you. Avoid making a habit of breaking your commitments, for sooner than later, you lose the relationships you have worked hard to build, whether in business or personal. Do not however, run away from commitment, how else will you achieve your goals if you do not commit.

This week, practice your commitment to the little things, and then the big things. If things do not go according to plan, regroup, try to make it right, and if it is too late, move on and be better on the next task. Let me hear and read from you, what is your take on honoring you commitments? Have you made a commitment to yourself, that you will pursue a particular dream, goal, purpose, explore your gifts? What is going on with that commitment, what are you doing to honor your commitment to the most important person on this earth, you? Dig in, reach deep and commit to begin the most authentic you, that you can be, then try each day to be the best of that authentic self, see the magic happen. It may not rain money, buy oh it will rain joy, and soon enough, your joy in your purpose and authenticity will lead to the comfortable life you crave, financially, spiritually, emotionally and in relationships. Have an amazing week!

Monday Night Recap

So,after a long day at work, and slowly but
surely those things that make you wonder,
where did my can-do attitude go? The same
traffic slowing your arrival, some nice faces
and some regular characters. Soon enough
the warmth of the weekend turns to familiar
tasks.

This is not an excuse to settle in to the regular
routine and excuse of the mundane & predictable.
Remember the new zeal to go out & conquer 2015,
don’t let other people’s lackluster approach to life be a
stronger voice in your life. Be the force that draws
their inner strength, rather than the one whose
light is turned out by theirs. You have purpose,
remember, be the LIGHT!

SUNDAY REFLECTION

SUNDAY REFLECTION

As we wake up in different parts of the US
it’s not our first thought that other parts of the
world have been hours ahead of us. In that
moment, we have our universe, our immediate
life, whether alone, with family, friends or at work.
For some people, another night on the cold streets

My message today for those still rising, wake up
with a spirit of thankfulness & thoughts of someone
else’s plight in your heart. We all have our worries,
our headaches, pain, & anguish, yet, we can still be
there for someone else, in spite of our own troubles

Make an effort today, to think of someone other than
yourself & how you can be a blessing. You can call,
visit, support emotionally or financially, or pray. In fact,
taking a moment to even think beyond your situation,
might be an accomplishment for someone today.

How often do you think about why you exist? Too complicated a thought or too simplistic a view? Truth is, whether we think about it consciously or unconsciously, we are in one way or another striving to make sense of our existence. It is hard to experience total peace until we feel a sense of oneness and purpose, familiarity with our core. For everyone, that peace and sense of center is different, no two are the same.

Find your core, the inner essence from which our greatest strength comes, and then use it to fuel this great journey called life.

PEARL # 79: GO FOR IT

GO FOR IT

The truth is, by the time you finish wondering, pacing around, and thinking about working the courage to do something good for yourself, it will still be the same time on the clock if you had moved. If it is 10 o’clock now where you are, in one hour the clock will strike 11 o’clock, whether you are sleeping, working, daydreaming, or afraid, it will still strike 11 o’clock in that hour. Make your choice, to move or not to move, go for it!

MY DAILY PRAYER

Dear God you know it’s me again. I thank You for waking me up this morning, you are always so faithful. As I acknowledge your presence today, I ask that you forgive me my sins as I forgive those who sinned against me.

You have created a beautiful earth and in it you put all kinds of life form. You centered me specifically in the space I’m in, for no one else can occupy my unique space.

So Father I acknowledge my unique spot and I praise you, I love you for making me so amazingly different.

Dear Holy Spirit, comfort the brokenhearted, the sick, the lonely, the abused, and the hopeless. Draw all of us to your awesome presence wherein there is love, hope, and peace

Accept my worship and my praise in Jesus’ mighty name, amen.
