So often we believe in our ability to change, transform and renew who we are; we move on from behavior that doesn’t serve us well into fruitful choices. Yet, we might not be as open or kind enough to accept or see these changes in others. We hold folks hostage to their past and see only what justifies our impression of them. No one holds the patent on being transformed, so make room for others to be different in your eyes, show love in action.
What habits have you cultivated when it comes to your attitude about storms in your life? Are you set immediately in a panic, do you fret and worry, and begin to speak of all the dreadful “what if” possibilities that could arise from the storm, rather than look for the positive angle? Maybe it is time to start growing that inner muscle that says, no matter what, I have what it takes to weather the storms in my life, for they will come, and go, but I will be the factor that decides if I go with the storms or not. Do we have to suffer for so long, before we know our pain has been honored? What is it about suffering that keeps us in a comfort zone? Is it the fear of moving forward or the anger against the pain?
Are you suffering from pain that won’t go away, are you confused, anxious, having difficulty with forgiveness? Call and schedule a free consultation with me, you don’t have to suffer much longer
Our thoughts are made up of a lot of things, some of which are intrinsically generated by our desires and deliberate action of thinking in a certain direction. However, these are not the only factors that make up the noise and activity in our head, our mind, and our heart. A huge percentage of our thoughts comes from input we get externally, all our portals and windows into our soul, our mind: the things we see, hear, feel, smell, taste, experience, encounter, and our instinct. We consume an enormous amount of information, data that is random and some, not so random. In essence, the totality of what we think is a salad bowl of more that what we desire to think about, is based largely on input. From that point of view, the true us, is really not reflected in the sampling of our mind. Yet, we are, our thoughts, and I will explain further.
You see, while we may not be the author of every thought in our mind, we have the authority to control how much external data we let in our heads, and how much of that information we allow to dwell and take residence in our head. We have the capacity to program our brains to work for us, to predispose us to a mindset of positive thinking, thus positive outcomes as much as possible, or we can allow the brain to be at the mercy of every passing data and for that data to dwell and morph into whatever interpretation or effect it wants. What we allow to take root in our mind becomes our belief system or has the power to influence what we put out through the same portals: what we say, how we act and react, and the energy we put out. What comes in, goes out.
My short video is intended to be a helpful tool in dealing with one of the ways we can set ourselves up for control of the data that comes in our head and how to react to it. START YOUR DAY RIGHT. A simple step, such as paying attention to your thoughts in the first 20-30 minutes of your day, is powerful in taking ownership of what disposition you want your brain to be in. You can decide for yourself, that although you cannot control the words and actions of others, you will control how your mind receives those experiences, and you will set the tone you want for your day. Enjoy the video, ask me questions and join to further the discussion. Think about these tips as you learn to start your day right:
– Wake up expectant every morning, determined to own your day
– Wake up grateful, there’s always something to be thankful for, like the breath of life
– Dedicate a few minutes of your 24 hours to map out what you desire for your life that day
– You’re your thoughts, for what you think, you speak & create. De-clutter your thoughts, you’re worth more than junk

I love new beginnings, they are amazing to the mind and heart. The wonderful thing about new beginnings is you can create your own whenever you like, you don’t have to wait for someone else to start it or give you permission. You don’t have to wait to conform to man-made new starts like new year. You decide when you need to start over, whether it is Monday, Thursday, March or August. So, I challenge you today, are you yet on that path to realizing your utmost purpose on this earth, have you found the key to why you are here, how confident are you, that you are where you need to be, doing what you were called to do and there is nothing more you want?
My Challenge: Today, look in the mirror and ask the image starring back, if the decisions you are currently making, honor the path in that journey to revealing the greatness within you. If something doesn’t seem right, do something about it. Remove the obstacles, be laser focused on creating the best life for yourself. It won’t take a day, but it won’t happen either if you don’t live with intention.
Who knows what the future holds? You, me? nobody knows. You do know one thing though, you know exactly where you are today, where your feet are standing, with whom and with what. You also know where you were yesterday, the past. I suggest, whether the past was sweet or bitter, do not dwell and make yesterday your resting spot. Reflect on today, ask yourself if this is where you want to continue to be, then make choices to maintain it. If today is not a reflection of your desired destination, the more reason to strap on some tools and head for the improvement of your future, whether financially, spiritually, emotionally, socially, politically or in any way that means something to you. Do not just stare and not do anything.
So,after a long day at work, and slowly but
surely those things that make you wonder,
where did my can-do attitude go? The same
traffic slowing your arrival, some nice faces
and some regular characters. Soon enough
the warmth of the weekend turns to familiar
tasks.
This is not an excuse to settle in to the regular
routine and excuse of the mundane & predictable.
Remember the new zeal to go out & conquer 2015,
don’t let other people’s lackluster approach to life be a
stronger voice in your life. Be the force that draws
their inner strength, rather than the one whose
light is turned out by theirs. You have purpose,
remember, be the LIGHT!
As we wake up in different parts of the US
it’s not our first thought that other parts of the
world have been hours ahead of us. In that
moment, we have our universe, our immediate
life, whether alone, with family, friends or at work.
For some people, another night on the cold streets
My message today for those still rising, wake up
with a spirit of thankfulness & thoughts of someone
else’s plight in your heart. We all have our worries,
our headaches, pain, & anguish, yet, we can still be
there for someone else, in spite of our own troubles
Make an effort today, to think of someone other than
yourself & how you can be a blessing. You can call,
visit, support emotionally or financially, or pray. In fact,
taking a moment to even think beyond your situation,
might be an accomplishment for someone today.
I know that there are many important things in ones life, so the topic of our postitive enrichment today, that people make time for what’s important, is not meant to say imperatively that the things we haven’t done aren’t important. It is a simple nudge to say, for those things that have not been worked on yet, or are not getting the attention they need, are the reasons explainable to you and do they make sense in your world. If not, then this is a valuable tool to say, look more closely and make a different choice
If something is as important as you say, then find time to give it some equal level importance. If you examine your activities, your life, then know that the things that consistently come up top in your energy expense level are things you have unconciously placed a high importance on. If you didn’t know that for example, you spent more time on facebook idly checking news and profiles at the expense of more high level important things like work, family, and other activities, then you need to examine that pattern more.
For my video-game playing folks, gulf, hobbies, even social activities like spending time with family, anything done in excess can be a source of distraction if it interferes with other equally important things. Examine and create the balance
