What habits have you cultivated when it comes to your attitude about storms in your life? Are you set immediately in a panic, do you fret and worry, and begin to speak of all the dreadful “what if” possibilities that could arise from the storm, rather than look for the positive angle? Maybe it is time to start growing that inner muscle that says, no matter what, I have what it takes to weather the storms in my life, for they will come, and go, but I will be the factor that decides if I go with the storms or not. No matter what race or battle you are in, for everyone this is a personal struggle and fight. Some people are in a race, fighting for their life on a sick-bed, they just had a traumatizing diagnosis, they need to win, live. Others are fighting for their loved ones, in prison, custody, race for time to save those in battle. Some races are for the sake of the dignity of a human soul, a race to gain back control of your life, freedom, you want to win at being you, without any restrictions or from some negative people in your life, you are in a race to learn something, learn to forgive, let go, move on, let in, love. Everyone is in a race to win, but each race is very different
The prize is subjective, definitely, what each person is fighting for has a different meaning at the end when they win. No two prizes will feel the same, the accomplishment of each goal means something different for each one of us
The price is similar, yes, no matter what race you are in, it involves energy, movement, action, and also sacrifice. Depending on what you want to win at, it will not happen without some level of action. So, ask yourself. You might want to win win win, but, do you know what race you’re in, do you have the tools for your journey, do you have help, a team effort, what prize are you playing or gunning for, and are you ready to do what it takes, sacrifice, put in effort and energy?
Thank you, I hope you enjoyed this short training on WINNING. If you did, please let me know and also share with you friends and social media, that they too can be blessed. Do not forget to leave your comments and for more questions, email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Be blessed, lead with you heart, and do your best. Enrich your life and the lives of others
It seems like the month is already halfway gone and it literally just started, but I am full of joy and gratefulness, it might as well be Christmas time already. Oh words can’t express exactly how I feel. Just last week Wednesday, September 2nd, I celebrated my birthday and the launch of my company, Pearls of Our Lives LLC, your home for Positive Enrichment inspiration and Coaching. The only place you will find this brand of organic and down-to-earth inspiration and practical skills to help you lead a more enriching life full of meaning, no matter what you are going through.
I received so many birthday messages and words of encouragement, I was truly overwhelmed, touched by the power of people coming together for one purpose, to lift up another human being, and this time, it was me in your hands, high up in Visionland. I did not know that many people could possibly affect my life, even from so far away, and some of you, I have not yet had the honor and pleasure of meeting you yet, but I hope that as you make me a part of your life, that I can continue to affect you positively through my pearls of wisdom, and some good day we may meet.
I recorded this video, to say a huge thank you and welcome, for those of you who do not yet know me, please do not go anywhere. This is a labor of love, of self-discovery, which has led me to the fulfillment of one of my many dreams. I ask humbly, that you to stay with me as you see that dreams do come true, in this case, mine, to become an inspirational self-development coach, for people, who need comfort, a healing word, clarity where there is confusion and a voice of love, just to say I care and I know that you can make it. I feel most especially called to women, women who are struggling to balance life, as mothers, sisters, wives, professionals, and who go through difficult times managing the upheavals of life. The decisions we have to make, the choices we are forced to make, and as an immigrant, who grew up in Cameroon, West Africa, now living in the United States, I feel I know what you are going through. I can speak to your situation, I understand YOU, dear woman. Help is here, you do not need to live this life struggling through decisions alone. Stop by here for a word, call me privately for a free consultation, or just to say hello. Make use of this resource I am offering, reach out for help.
Remember, you are worthy all by yourself, because you exist on this earth, no man or woman gives you worth, it comes from inside, therefore, no man or woman should make you feel worthless. Positively enrich your life, and the lives of others.
Today is a very special day, for many reasons other than that September 2nd is my birthday. Today, I officially launch my company, Pearls of Our Lives LLC! Yes. It has been a long road, one which I will explain as the days go forth, so stay tuned please. Today I celebrate the achievement of just one of my dreams, to own and build a Life Skills and Communication company, dedicated to positively enriching lives through Self-development Coaching.
I started my journey to discover my own self many years ago, and that journey took me to the discovery of my natural gifts and skills. I finally acknowledged my gift for listening, not just with my ears, but with my heart, after enough feedback from friends and family I also realized that I had a natural gift for encouraging, inspiring and basically helping people see the bright side of things, the silver lining, letting them know, that although the storms may come, they never last, but if you hang in there, with me beside you, you will not drown nor burn, I will be there, empowering and equipping you to handle the life you have. So, pearlsofourlives.com blog was born, two years ago.
On my blog, I wrote my heart out, and practiced my other gifts, writing poetry, short stories, Food For Thought and basically exploring various expressions of the same message and theme, you can do it, you have what it takes, in your time of sorrow, here is how to look at life and navigate that point, laugh, smile, live, love, and most of all, create meaning in your life.
I thoroughly enjoyed blogging for these two years, that I knew that I wanted to keep on pushing and reaching more people. I decided to study and sharpen my craft. I already had over a decade working in the healthcare industry from the bottom up, as a Nursing Aide, to now as a Registered Nurse. I worked in the Operating Room, saw people at their most vulnerable points as they went through In Vitro to conceive babies, I worked on critical care units, taking care of patients in a coma, cleaned and bathed them, carried them, fed them, and also, I was there one time too many, when a patient lost their battle with life, and I was honored to be the nurse by their side. I love being a nurse, so enriching, and teaching. In order to enhance my Coaching skills, I enrolled in and got my certification as a Practitioner of Neurolinguistic Programming, and also now a student of Strategic Intervention Certification program, pioneered by the world-renowed Life Coach, Tony Robbins and Cloe Madannes. Please check out rmtcenter.com for more details.
I am a very spiritual person, my energy and my peace comes from my deep faith as a Christian, and now armed with a combination of my medical skills and Life Coach Certifications, I decided it was time to launch my own company. Today, on my birthday, I celebrate my journey of self-discovery, which led me to grow through the toughest circumstances and the best experiences, I found myself, found my core, discovered my passion and got my mission. I am here, to assist you in doing your own work of self-discovery, that you too many find and live the best life given you, through the discovery of your true self, your skills, and to help you navigate the storms of life, equipping you to handle your life. I am here to positively enrich your life, and the life of others, and I will lead with my heart, my head and my presence if you will honor me to continue to grow with me, and have me as your Coach.
I have so much lined up for the future, and I will reveal them in the coming weeks and months. For today, thank you for sticking with me, don’t go away, you are a part of this journey and I love each and every one of you. Reach out to me, if you need a hand.
Our thoughts are made up of a lot of things, some of which are intrinsically generated by our desires and deliberate action of thinking in a certain direction. However, these are not the only factors that make up the noise and activity in our head, our mind, and our heart. A huge percentage of our thoughts comes from input we get externally, all our portals and windows into our soul, our mind: the things we see, hear, feel, smell, taste, experience, encounter, and our instinct. We consume an enormous amount of information, data that is random and some, not so random. In essence, the totality of what we think is a salad bowl of more that what we desire to think about, is based largely on input. From that point of view, the true us, is really not reflected in the sampling of our mind. Yet, we are, our thoughts, and I will explain further.
You see, while we may not be the author of every thought in our mind, we have the authority to control how much external data we let in our heads, and how much of that information we allow to dwell and take residence in our head. We have the capacity to program our brains to work for us, to predispose us to a mindset of positive thinking, thus positive outcomes as much as possible, or we can allow the brain to be at the mercy of every passing data and for that data to dwell and morph into whatever interpretation or effect it wants. What we allow to take root in our mind becomes our belief system or has the power to influence what we put out through the same portals: what we say, how we act and react, and the energy we put out. What comes in, goes out.
My short video is intended to be a helpful tool in dealing with one of the ways we can set ourselves up for control of the data that comes in our head and how to react to it. START YOUR DAY RIGHT. A simple step, such as paying attention to your thoughts in the first 20-30 minutes of your day, is powerful in taking ownership of what disposition you want your brain to be in. You can decide for yourself, that although you cannot control the words and actions of others, you will control how your mind receives those experiences, and you will set the tone you want for your day. Enjoy the video, ask me questions and join to further the discussion. Think about these tips as you learn to start your day right:
– Wake up expectant every morning, determined to own your day
– Wake up grateful, there’s always something to be thankful for, like the breath of life
– Dedicate a few minutes of your 24 hours to map out what you desire for your life that day
– You’re your thoughts, for what you think, you speak & create. De-clutter your thoughts, you’re worth more than junk
When we grow chronologically, there is no guarantee that we are also increasing mentally, spiritually, and emotionally. It takes intention, choice, and work to increase our level of understanding. The experiences we go through as night turns to day and day to night, provide the substance for the work. As we navigate the substance of life’s experiences, we fall, rise up, learn, strive harder, work harder and the cycle continues year after year until we die.
Learning is not always a given, we must choose to learn or see the lessons in our experiences. When we miss the lesson, life has a funny way of bringing us back to that learning curve until we get it and make better choices. If we are lucky, it rotates back to the same person so we do better, or it presents with someone different and we do better there; it does not matter who, it matters more what we learn from it.
We will always be challenged, we will always fall as long as we live, but our choice to rise when we fall is totally up to us. How we rise after a fall depends on what we lean on or use as a crutch. We can rise up kicking and screaming with rage, denying the truth, insisting on our righteousness, and many other defense mechanisms, or we can rise up in truth, acceptance, and change, knowing we have more lessons ahead to prepare for.
When we find that it is hard to let go then we need to pause, stop thinking about them, the circumstances, the job, the anger, the child, the bereavement, the divorce, – just STOP thinking externally. START looking inside. All those things that happened are done. Now it’s all about our intentional work towards spiritual growth and healing. It takes practice, it’s scary, and hard to face who we are, what we see about ourselves. Just remember, when we do it right, the result is an amazing self-love, self-respect and love for others. When you have learned to do your work, you won’t let anyone take that away from you, you protect your growth and help others respect it, all with love.
Ask yourself today, when it comes down to choosing, what are your choices? Do you choose what is just, or what is easy to swallow, do you choose to uphold truth in yourself and others, or slide it conveniently under a rug. What do you fear?
There’s peace in standing for something knowing you have done your best.
So what’s the plan for today, the week? Another session of whining and complaining about how early you have to wake up for work, school, and other important duties? Or the headache from the Sunday hangover, or late night sleep?
I say wake up with thankfulness on thy lips, jump up for joy that you took a breath this morning for this is a day ordained specifically to set you up for success. There are tools hiding in plain sight for you to reach out & grab your destiny by the throat. Be not afraid of the tough decisions you have to make to get to your goal. Honor your life with the gift of true living with purpose. Positively enrich your life!
I call them my League of Extraordinary Sisters. They are from Cameroon, in the motherland of Africa. They have qualities that dare you look away. They have INFLUENCE. They reside in different parts of the globe and they are involved in different professions. Their sphere of influence is as different as the strands of hair on their head, and because of that, neither one is greater than the other, for what one lacks in one department, the other has in abundance, and what she lacks, her fellow Cameroonian sister has. Combined, they have POWER of LEADERSHIP!
On the occasion of the celebration of the International Day of the Woman, I have handpicked, carefully assessed, and now I raise my voice and the voices of my other sisters, to say “well done”, to these fine examples of Leadership, grace, talent and bold Cameroonian women of substance.
They are neither up nor down, they look-not sideways but forever upwards, and that is why their star keeps rising. They are talk show hosts, Publishers, Motivational Speakers, Entrepreneurs, Fashion Designers, Educators, Business Moguls, Pastors, Authors, they have been featured in magazines, on runways, LA Times, NPR Radio, and so much more! They are not looking back to see who’s watching, they are inspiring, breaking the mold, and creating new legacies. We can stand to take a moment to say, well done sisters, daughters, mothers, friends, THE ULTIMATE AFRICAN WOMAN. I have the pleasure of knowing them on different personal levels, and it is no surprise that I see the things I do. Be inspired by these Five Women of Substance from Cameroon.
So, whether from a distance or near, they have each influenced something about me, my journey, my dreams, my hustle; they are my mentors from near and far, and as they rise, a new generation of hungry women rises with them. So in no particular order, but simply as my brain will remember, World, I give you, Cameroonian Women I am proud to know on this weekend ushering the celebration of the International Day of the Woman 2015.
